Tehran, Dec 8, IRNA
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here Saturday that recent NIE report has revealed only 70 percent of realities concerning Iran's peaceful nuclear activities, while 30 percent of the facts still remain to be disclosed.
Mottaki told a meeting on Iran's nuclear issue that the NIE report had been ready in early 2007 but political strife between the proponents and opponents of war delayed publication of the document until now.
He said the report had been put at the disposal of US President George W. Bush several months ago, though he claimed that he had recently been informed of it.
"Some think we have become happy or looked into the issue optimistically; the reality is that our righteousness has become more and more clear everyday. Today, they have confessed that there has been no diversion in Iran's nuclear activities," he announced.
The top diplomat recalled the past when Iran was charged with pursuing a nuclear weapons development program and said, "That's a big lie raised in line with political ends. We said in the past that Iran will prove falsehood of such claims."
