Vienna, Dec 4, IRNA
International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Mohamed ElBaradei on Tuesday expressed pleasure with report on Iran of US national intelligence estimates (NIE).
"US intelligence report on Iran should help defuse the current crisis."
"The agency has no concrete evidence of an ongoing nuclear weapons program or undeclared nuclear facilities in Iran," ElBaradei said in a statement.
"At the same time, it should prompt Iran to work actively with the IAEA to clarify specific aspects of its past and present nuclear program," he said.
In the statement, ElBaradei called on Iran to "accelerate" its cooperation with the IAEA and for all parties "to enter without delay into negotiations."
"Such negotiations are needed to build confidence about the future direction of Iran's nuclear program," he said.
"They are also needed to bring about a comprehensive and durable solution that would normalize the relationship between Iran and the international community," ElBaradei said.
