Tehran, Nov 28, IRNA
Iran-Nuclear-Speaker
Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel said here Wednesday that Iran will continue talks with the UN nuclear watchdog and Europe on its nuclear case.
Haddad-Adel told a press conference the he hoped the weekend talks between Iran's top nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili and the EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana would be complementary to positive report of the IAEA Chief Mohammed ElBaradei.
"ElBaradei's report that there is no diversion in Iran's peaceful nuclear activities is a valuable acknowledgement," he said.
He noted that ElBaradei's report is a seal of approval to truth of Iran's past claims. "Since the beginning we have been saying that we had had no diversion but the US continued to raise charges against us."
He added that the IAEA's seal of approval on Iran's claims is the result of the correct policy of Iran's government and establishment in cooperating with the Agency.
He said that the Americans want to pile up pressure on Iran and not pay attention to the IAEA and legal aspect of the reports by trying to make political abuse of the issue.
