Iran's Ambassador to Bangkok Mohsen Pak Ayeen said on Monday that the recent report released by IAEA Director General Mohamed Elbaradei proved that Iran's nuclear program is transparent and has a peaceful nature.
The Iranian ambassador made the remarks in an exclusive interview with Thai daily Bangkok Post.
The report indicated that Iran has adopted a very successful measure to attract the IAEA's positive view, he said.
Given Iran's sincere cooperation and confidence-building measures, the IAEA eventually came to the conclusion that despite what Europeans and Americans had already alleged, Iran had nothing to hide and that Tehran's statements about the peaceful nature of its nuclear activities and programs are totally true, Pak Ayeen added.
During inspections conducted by IAEA inspectors, they were allowed to inspect and take samples from all nuclear sites and facilities including news sites which had not been on the previous list of the Agency, and the IAEA eventually came to the conclusion that Iran has not violated its rules nor has it diverted from its peaceful path," he said.
According to the report released by ElBaradei, most of the ambiguities about Iranian nuclear program were totally baseless and incorrect and therefore, there is no room for Iran's dossier to remain in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
ElBaradei's report reads that IAEA is able to verify the on-diversion of Iran's nuclear program, Pak Ayeen said.
Iran's nuclear program is to generate electricity for the country despite all allegations raised by the US officials.
Many countries such as Asian ones along with members of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) confirmed the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program and only a few countries are unwilling to accept this reality.
The Zionist regime never lets even one inspector visit its nuclear sites while Iran has always welcomed expansion of cooperation with IAEA, he underlined.
Referring to UNSC sanctions against Iran, the daily said according to Iran's ambassador to Bangkok, such sanctions would leave no impacts on the country's economy and the Iranian nation has attained significant development such as access to nuclear energy.
