Iran-Nuclear-IAEA-Hosseini
Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini here Sunday stressed that Iran's request for the return of its nuclear case from New York to Vienna is a "logical" request.
Addressing foreign and domestic reporters during his weekly press briefing, he reiterated, "Tehran will follow up the case through all legal channels."
Commenting on the recent report issued by Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei, he said ElBaradei reiterated in his report that Tehran has answered to all questions raised by the agency in an appropriate manner and has had good cooperation with it.
On US insistence on its previous approach despite ElBaradei's positive report on Iran's peaceful nuclear program, Hosseini said such an insistence proves that "Washington is not willing to make the issue clear and transparent."
"If the objective of their threat is to deprive the Iranian nation of its legitimate right, they will never achieve their goals," he added.
Answering a question on whether Tehran would discuss cessation or suspension of its enrichment with the IAEA in the future, he said such issues, which belong to the past, will not be discussed any more.
