Iran can reach a joint solution with the West on its peaceful nuclear issue, Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel said on Wednesday.
Speaking in a meeting with a group of members of the British House of Commons, the speaker said, "The Islamic Revolution of Iran has not been understood properly in the West."
"West should take into consideration the existing realities of the post-Revolution Iran and redefine its relations with the country," Haddad-Adel suggested.
The British MPs arrived in Tehran on Monday for a five-day visit.
Their visit is taking place at the invitation of the chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Majlis.
Taking into consideration a wide range of these realities would help Iran and the West reach joint solutions on many major issues including terrorism and Iran peaceful nuclear program, the speaker stressed.
He reiterated that Tehran "is ready to take any necessary action to build confidence over its peaceful nuclear activities within the frameworks of international laws and those of the Non- Proliferation Treaty (NPT)."
