Larijani-IAEA-Patience
Supreme Leader's Representative at Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani said on Friday patience and perseverance are needed in advancing cooperation with IAEA.
Larijani made the comment upon return home from Italy and Germany where he and his successor Saeed Jalili held talks with EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi and German Foreign Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
He added, "While continuing close cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog, we need to keep restraint to the notorious US behavior." Larijani added, "During our meeting in Rome, Mr. Solana presented some strategic viewpoints."
He added, "The Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, too, presented a proposal during the meeting we had with him in Rome."
He said that the Americans are still after trouble making, although the entire world countries, including Group 5+1, have voiced support for Iran's close cooperation with IAEA, appreciating Tehran's transparent nuclear program.
Larijani said, "The Americans still insist on pushing unilateral approach to solve the international crises, and for instance, it makes no difference to them whether Iran would cooperate, or stop cooperation with the UN nuclear agency."
