Iran-Caspian Sea-Hosseini
Foreign Ministry spokesman, Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said here Monday that the US efforts to isolate Iran have so far got nowhere.
He told reporters at his weekly press briefing that Washington's wrong policies have caused the Islamic Republic of Iran to play a more effective role.
On the upcoming Caspian Sea summit, Hosseini said that Vladimir Putin and other Caspian Sea presidents are coming to Iran to attend the summit of the Caspian Sea littoral states which is to begin in Tehran on Tuesday.
Bilateral issues as well as the latest international developments will be reviewed by the participants in the meeting on the sidelines of the summit, he added.
He further announced that all-out cooperation among the five littoral states of the sea will be also discussed by the participants in the summit.
The final statement of the summit will be signed by leaders of the five Caspian Sea states, he added.
He further announced that an agreement on transportation will be inked by Iran and Kazakhstan.
Joint investment and security issues, as well as fight against smuggling of narcotic drugs and organized crimes will be among other issues to be reviewed by Iran and the Caspian Sea states, Hosseini noted.
