Deputy director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Olli Heinonen, will arrive in Tehran Monday evening to discuss with Iranian officials issues related to P1 and P2 centrifuges, a senior Iranian official said Monday.

Iran's Ambassador to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ali Asghar Soltanieh told IRNA that the next round of Iran-IAEA talks will "begin in Tehran on Tuesday and last for two or three days." The previous round of talks between Iranian and IAEA officials on centrifuges was held in Tehran on September 24-25.

The Iran-IAEA talks are being held based on an agreement reached by the two sides on August 21 which called for removing all outstanding issues on Iran's peaceful nuclear program based an specified time-table.

According to the agreement, discussions on Iran's P1 and P2 centrifuges should be finalized in November.

The UN nuclear agency delivered a list of remaining issues on August 31 that should be resolved based on the specified timetable.

Iran's written responses to the agency's questions would be followed up in another meeting between the two sides expected to be held in mid October.

The initiative to resolve the outstanding issues about Iranian nuclear program was put forward after three rounds of talks between top Iranian nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani and EU foreign policy and security chief Javier Solana in Madrid and Larijani's negotiations with the IAEA chief in Vienna.

The two parties set a framework to settle the outstanding issues in less than 60 days and an agreement to that effect was signed by Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) for International Affairs Javad Vaeedi and Deputy IAEA Director-General for the Safeguards Olli Heinonen on August 26.

The case of Plutonium and contamination in Karaj has been closed so far according to the work plan.
