Iran-US-President
The issue of Iran's peaceful nuclear program is discussed by the UN nuclear watchdog from legal aspect, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday evening.

Speaking in a press conference after his address at the UN 62nd General Assembly, the president said Tehran believed that the issue of its peaceful nuclear program "is closed and is only discussed at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from legal viewpoint." Commenting on recent reports on Washington's decision to impose new sanctions on Iran because of its peaceful nuclear activities, President Ahmadinejad said, "Iran does not attach importance to such decisions.

"Iran does not expect any cooperation from the US as in the past 30 years, Washington has been consistently making similar decisions against Tehran."

He stressed, "What is important to us is to legally continue our peaceful nuclear activities under the IAEA supervision."
