Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) Reza Aqazadeh conferred on Tuesday with IAEA Director-General Mohamed ElBaradei on resolving the remaining issues about Iran's nuclear program.

The two officials exchanged views on the sidelines of the 51st General Conference of the international Atomic Energy Agency.

Aqazadeh said the recent agreement between Iran and the IAEA has served credibility of the UN specialized agency.

"Since the early stage, we believe in central role of the agency that the IAEA would be an international legal and reliable organization authorized to deal with Iran's peaceful nuclear dossier, Aqazadeh said.

The agreement has created a new hope to help resolve the issue, he said.

"We hope the agreement help disarm those who seek illegal path in dealing with the issue," he said.

The IAEA chief, for his part, described the agreement as an example of mutual cooperation which indicates that all remaining issues would be resolved through close cooperation.

Citing resolution of plutonium from list of the outstanding issues, ElBaradei hoped that the other remaining issues would also be resolved through close cooperation between the two parties in line with the timetable.
