Tehran, Sept 18, IRNA
Iran-France-SNSC
French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner is expected to review his stand about Iran, Under-Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said on Tuesday.

He told IRNA that the French government would take logical and realistic stance about Iranian nuclear program.

"The allegations brought by the French foreign minister against Iranian nuclear program are unacceptable to Iranian public opinion and that Kouchner has made the statement under manipulated atmosphere." He said that the French government is expected to prove that they consider logic and wisdom respecting law and order.

"We are ready to cooperate with them in this respect." Rahmani Fazli said that Iran and France have had constructive cooperation in the field of nuclear energy and telecommunications.

"So, Iranians have positive attitude toward France and the French government can share Iranian status in the Middle East and the close relationship Iran enjoys with the European states."

He said that such statements made by the French foreign minister at a time when Iran and the UN nuclear agency have reached agreement on a comprehensive settlement of the dispute is not right.

"Iran-IAEA agreement on modality plan has also been confirmed by the EU foreign policy and security chief Javier Solana."

Rahmani Fazli said that he believes that the outstanding issues between Iran and the IAEA should be resolved and other approach focusing on stirring up sentiments, would not lead to sustainable relations between Iran and France.
