Nuclear case dominates German-Iranian political talks in Berlin

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Berlin, Sept 7, IRNA
Germany-Iran-Jalili
Iranian deputy foreign minister for European and American affairs, Saeed Jalili met Thursday with his German counterpart Reinhard Silberberg and the chairman of the foreign affairs committee of the German parliament, Ruprecht Polenz to discuss the latest developments in the case of Tehran's nuclear program.

Jalili stressed Iranian scientists have acquired nuclear and uranium enrichment know-how.

He reiterated that resolving the outstanding questions with the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was not complicated at all.

Jalili urged positive and appropriate steps by the other side in response to Tehran's latest positive moves.

The foreign ministry official made clear that returning Iran's nuclear dossier from the UN Security Council to the IAEA was the only appropriate way for the peaceful settlement of the nuclear dispute.

The UN nuclear watchdog and Iran announced last month that all remaining issues on the Iranian nuclear program had been outlined and were to be resolved during a specified time-table.
