Iran Army condemns US attempt to label IRGC

Iran's Army on Monday castigated the US attempt to label the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as terrorist.

The IRGC, the national defense force, emerged during the US-backed imposed war on Iran (1980-1988).

The statement cited a report carried by two American newspapers to that effect.

"The prestige Iran has attained in international relations thanks to success of Iranian scientists to produce nuclear energy nuclear has drawn ire of the US administration attempting to stop progress of the Iranian nation. It is sign of the US confusion."

The statement said that the US attempt indicated that the US is in desperation in Iraq and Afghanistan and is covering up its failure.

Advocates of the futile attempt against IRGC should know that it will honorably serve Iranian nation, because, they will not allow to brand the defense force of a nation as terrorist.
