Hosseini: ElBaradei reaffirms Iran abides by NPT

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini said on Sunday that ElBaradei's report on May 23 reaffirmed non-diversion of Iranian nuclear program from NPT.
Speaking to reporters on his weekly briefing, he said that ElBaradei in his report has declared that Tehran has let IAEA inspectors full monitoring of the nuclear program the agency installed cameras over all Iranian nuclear sites.
"In the IAEA previous resolutions, ElBaradei had raised reprocessing at Iran's nuclear sites, but, at this report there is no mention to reprocessing which should be regarded as positive point." Hosseini said that ElBaradei also admitted that Iran has made progress in nuclear science and uranium enrichment which is among the legitimate rights of the country.
On five Iranian diplomats kidnapped in Iraq by US forces, he expressed concern over US refusal to let the diplomats families to meet with them.
He said that the foreign ministry through UN secretary general and UN security council is now following up the issue.
Hosseini said that the families of kidnapped Iranian diplomats have called for the Swiss ambassador to Tehran, who is in charge of the US interest section, to pursue the case.
He expressed concern about humanitarian plight in Lebanon and the Lebanese Army attack against Palestinian refugee camp killing scores of innocent refugees and said that Iran calls for restoration of stability in Lebanon and spares no effort to help Lebanese peace and security.
On the Zionists latest aggression on Palestine, he said Iran strongly condemns the Israeli aggressions on Gaza city killing defenseless people and criticized the the so-called advocates of human rights for keeping silent.
The Zionists always take advantage of rifts among Palestinians, Hosseini said.
On recent developments in Yemen, he said the issue of Yemen is a internal issue and what has been uttered by Yemeni's officials is false and incorrect.
He expressed the hope that the Yemeni officials would adopt wisdom in resolving the country's internal affairs.
