Larijani-Solana-Hosseini-Nuclear
Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani and the EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana would hold negotiations after conclusion of consultations.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini made the statement on Sunday while addressing reporters at his weekly press conference.
In response to a question on postponement of talks between Larijani and Solana, he said, "The exact date of Larijani-Solana negotiations has not been fixed."
"It has been said the two sides will hold talks within two weeks. Negotiations will be held after consultations reach an outcome," Hosseini added.
Asked whether Tehran has any plan to prevent adoption of a new resolution by the UN Security Council as the council's Resolution 747 reaches its dead-end, he said, "We have made efforts to prevent adoption of resolution and finalize trend of talks and will do the same in the future."
He once again reiterated that Iran would not accept suspension of uranium enrichment.
"Solana and Group 5+1 (Russia, China, France, Britain and the US plus Germany) are aware of the issue," Hosseini said.
