Iran arrests ex-nuclear negotiator
02/05/2007 15:19 TEHRAN, May 2 (RIA Novosti) - Iranian authorities have arrested a former senior official and nuclear negotiator, Iran's IRNA news agency reported Wednesday, citing an unnamed source in the country's judiciary.
The details concerning the arrest of Hossein Moussavian are unknown, as are charges brought against him.
Under former president Mohammad Hatami, Moussavian headed the foreign policy committee of the Supreme National Security Council. Until recently, he served as one of Iran's nuclear negotiators.
