Spokesman: Iran does not need foreigners' advice

Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini here Tuesday in reaction to the remarks of US President George Bush, said that given its ancient civilization and culture, Iran has always selected its approach to national progress independently and without the need to seek foreigners' advice.

Concerning Bush's recommendation through his secretary of state about the Iranian nation's way of progress, he said that when it comes to development of scientific technology and national welfare, Iran rejects any unjust and improper proposal.

Meanwhile, about Bush's remarks about the need for installation of missile system in Europe to contain Iran's threats, he noted, "It is clear to the world public opinion, in particular that of the US and the American congressmen and senators that such claims are fake and nonrealistic.

"Besides, such claims can hardly be fruitful to US officials as propaganda," he added.

Hosseini said that Russia and many European states have realized that within the framework of its bullying and unilateral approach, the US has challenged their independence, security and national interests.

About the annual report of the US State Department on terrorism, the spokesman referred to growing non-human approach of American agents and said, "Torture of prisoners in Iraq, Guantanamo Bay and mobile detention centers in Europe, their support for the Zionist regime in the 33-day war against Lebanon and targeting Lebanese and Palestinian oppressed children, women and men are clear examples of the wrong-doings of American officials."

The Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the wide-range of crises created by US administrators are the main concern of American people, adding that finding a solution to the issue is the main concern of the American people.
