Larijani, Solana to resume talks in two weeks

Iran's top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani and the EU Foreign Policy Commissioner Javier Solana on Thursday reached a consensus to resume talks in the next two weeks.

At the end of their meetings in Ankara, Larijani said that new and interesting ideas were raised and the two sides will hold next round of negotiations in the next two weeks.

The two top negotiators have held four rounds of talks in the two-day meetings. Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gol also took part in one of the rounds.

Solana left Turkey immediately after the end of the Thursday meeting for the Europe.

Larijani and Solana launched the first and second rounds of their hard talks on Wednesday afternoon, which lasted more than five hours until late hours of last night.

The two officials said that they have conducted 'good and constructive' talks.

After the third round of the negotiations, held in the presence of Abdullah Gol at the breakfast table on Thursday, Larijani, Solana and Gol took part in a joint news conference to respond to questions from correspondents.

The forth and last round of the talks on Iran's nuclear program started before noon and lasted until afternoon.

"Solana wanted me in a phone call to resume negotiations, and we scheduled to meet in Ankara," Larijani said on arrival in Ankara on Wednesday.

Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, Deputy of Supreme National Security Council Secretary for International Affairs Javad Vaeedi and Deputy of Iran Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) for International Affairs Mohammad Saeedi accompanied Larijani on the tour.

Solana also arrived in Ankara on Wednesday afternoon, entering into Hotel Swiss said that he has traveled to Ankara with a constructive stance.
