Russia-Iran-Bushehr power plant
Russia's Atomic Energy Chief Sergei Kiriyenko expressed hope that Iran's payments for construction of Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant could be regular.
Speaking in a press conference in Yerevan, capital of Armenia, on Monday, Kiriyenko said Iran started to pay its due payments in March, but it is not still regular.
He added following the recent talks between Iran and Russia concerning Bushehr power plant, some progress has been achieved.
Russia's Atomic Energy chief underlined that there is no political obstacle in the way of Bushehr power plant construction and expressed hope about completion of the plant.
Referring to the delay in completion schedule of Bushehr power plant, Kiriyenko said it is a matter of technical problem not a political issue.
The power plant was scheduled to start its experimental work in September and commissioned in November, according to the Iran-Russia agreement in September 2006.
Russia was supposed to deliver atomic fuel for Bushehr power plant in March, but they did not fulfill their commitment.
Meanwhile, the fourth round of talks between Iran's Atomic Energy Organization and Russia's Atomstroiexport wrapped up its work Sunday.
