Larijani reacts to West on Iran's new nuclear achievement

Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani here Wednesday showed reaction to the est's recent claims that Iran has exaggerated about its new nuclear achievement in production of nuclear fuel on an industrial scale.
Larijani was speaking to reporters after a meeting with the visiting Afghan Foreign Minister Rangeen Dadfar Spanta.
"If the West's doubt about the issue is right, why is it exerting pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran?
"We do not intend to spoil the West's joy. Westerners have earlier had doubt about Iran's peaceful nuclear activities at different stages," the SNSC secretary said.
In a ceremony held at Natanz nuclear site at the central province of Isfahan on Monday on the occasion of the National Day of Nuclear echnology, it was announced that Iran has started production of nuclear fuel at industrial level.
Following this scientific and technical achievement, the Islamic Republic of Iran along with Brazil was registered as the 8th country possessing nuclear fuel cycle in the world.
Earlier, only the five veto-wielding members of the UN Security Council -- Russia, China, Britain, France and the United States -- plus Germany and Japan had monopoly on nuclear fuel cycle.
