The sanctions envisaged in the UN Security Council Resolution 1747 will have no impact on national economy, Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Davoud Danesh-Jaafari said on Tuesday.
"Iran had already been subject to such de facto sanctions," Danesh Jaafari told IRNA responding to a question on possible impacts of the sanctions on Iranian economy.
"The Resolution 1747 is in pursuit of the former resolution the Security Council passed last December and it carries no new element actually. Of course, the hostile powers wanted to wage propaganda campaign against Iran by the latest resolution," the minister said.
He said that since the US has been sidelined from Iranian economy, it will bear no burden from sanctions and by orchestrating the economic sanctions, the US wants to damage main Iranian trade partners.
"The economic sanctions will damage Iranian trade partners as well."
