Iranian nation will defend its rights till end: Ahmadinejad

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Thursday that the Iranian nation will defend its rights to the end since it considers pursuit of peaceful nuclear energy as the country's inalienable right.
Addressing a huge crowd of local residents of this northern city gathered in its main sports stadium, the president noted that bullying powers have always opposed Iran's efforts to access peaceful nuclear technology.
The Iranian people want peace, brotherhood and dialogue, he said, and stressed that they have no intention of surrendering their legal rights.
Today, the Iranian people have a responsibility to contribute to the development of the Islamic Republic of Iran and make it an example for other world countries to follow, President Ahmadinejad, on the final day of a three-day visit to nothern Gilan province, said.
Ahmadinejad will return to the provincial capital, Rasht, later today to preside over a cabinet meeting.
His current visit is his 25th to various provinces of the country since the start of his initiative of bringing the government closer to the people.
