IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, Feb 7, IRNA
Iran-Larijani-Nuclear
Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani said on Wednesday that the technical path of Iran's nuclear research and development is clear and that it is being conducted under the supervision of the UN nuclear watchdog.

The SNSC secretary made the statement, in response to a question about implementation of two new cascades of centrifuge, at a joint press conference with the visiting Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee after their meeting.

Larijani said that there is no confidential issues in this regard and that plans on it had earlier been declared to the International Atomic Energy Agency.

He added that through cooperation with the IAEA, the trend of the agency's supervision over Iran's nuclear activities will be more accurate in future.

Meanwhile, he hoped for more correct solutions to be reached through reasonable and more accurate talks on the country's nuclear issue.

About the recent talks of the British Prime Minister Tony Blair with his Iraqi counterpart, Nouri al-Maliki, at Britain's House of Commons, he said that under the present conditions, bringing up miscalculated remarks will not help to solve the issue.

Addressing the Western officials, including Blair, he said that if their claims have any foundation, they should be brought up within the frameworks of international systems.

Concerning the upcoming nuclear festival, he said that February 11 is a day when the national will on nuclear issue will be revealed.

He added that the event aims to show that the Iranian nation supports the country's nuclear activities.
