Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Secretary Ali Larijani said here Saturday that the negotiators involved in Iran's nuclear talks left the session.
Larijani made the remarks at a joint press conference with the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, Ramezan Abdullah.
Turning to his recent contact with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Chief Mohamed ElBaradei, he said that during the talks it was underlined that Iran's nuclear issue should be solved through negotiation.
The SNSC secretary noted that Iran's attempts to gain access to nuclear technology for peaceful purposes is in line with its national interests.
He said that becoming nuclear is not a luxury, but that it is required for Iran's future development.
"Access to modern technology is necessary for Iran's progress.
Iran has repeatedly declared that international laws approve of such access to nuclear technology," he added.
Larijani underlined that Iran has accepted the IAEA regulations, adding that to access nuclear technology for peaceful use, Iran finds it necessary to pursue the peaceful nuclear path to make progress.
"Any peaceful approach aiming to solve the country's nuclear issue peacefully is welcomed," he added.
