Saeedi: Al-Baradei's idea needs deliberation

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Saeedi-Al-Baradei
, Jan 28 -- Deputy head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization for international affairs Mohammad Saeedi said on Sunday that the recent proposal of the UN nuclear agency's chief needs deliberation.

Saeedi told reporters that it is an idea that needs survey and deliberation like any other idea.

He said that for the time being nothing could be said about it, adding that there are certainly ambiguities in the idea.

In reply to a question on whether Russia has proposed any better idea, Saeedi said that there are other ideas in this field other than that of al-Baradei and Russia and other countries have certain ideas in this regard.

Answering a question about Iran's stance towards the deadline set by the 1737 resolution, Saeedi said Iran's nuclear policy does not include suspension.

On 3000 centrifuges, he said that when their installation starts, it would be publicly announced.
