President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that allegations the bullying powers have made against Iranian nuclear program are "sheer lie".
Ahmadinejad, who arrived in the southwestern Khuzestan province Tuesday morning on a four-day visit along with his cabinet ministers, made the remark while addressing enthusiastic people of Ahvaz city.
"The big powers are just speaking about objection to nuclear bombs or respect human rights," he said in reference to the US poor and scandalous human rights record and producing nuclear bombs.
"They are against Iran's civilian nuclear program to prevent development and progress of the nation," he said.
He added, "All nations including the Iranians have no option but to achieve and use nuclear energy. We should use nuclear energy not to be dependent on bullying powers in the future."
Ahmadinejad said success of the Iranian people in use of nuclear energy and production of nuclear fuel belongs to all nations, adding, "Success of the Iranian people will be achieved paving the way for freedom and independence of all free nations in the world.
"Bullying powers are against progress and development of all nations. We have observed all legal and rational ways to convince them and had full cooperation with them.
"Today, we are confident that they are saying lies."
In a reaction to remark made by the US under-secretary of state who has said the Security Council's adoption of an anti-Iranian resolution aimed to humiliate the Iranian nation, the president said, "We give this response to them that the Iranians have severally humiliated you.
"Time is ripe for the Iranian people to resist to bullying.
The nation will celebrate nuclear victory during the `Ten-Day Dawn' celebration (February 1-10, marking the victory of the Islamic Revolution)."
Ahmadinejad said that the national nuclear program is more important than nationalization of oil industry for the nation (1951), adding enemies could not resist determination of powerful and wise Iranian nation.
He advised enemies of the Iranian people to abandon bullying and threat because era of making decisions for nations behind closed doors has passed.
The president's current visit to the oil-rich province is his 24th to various provinces of the country since the start of his initiative of bringing the government closer to the people.
Khuzestan province has a population of 4.168 million people.
