President: Nation continues attempts to access nuclear rights

Kermanshah, Dec 19, IRNA
Iran-Ahmadinejad-Nuclear
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that the Iranian nation will not give up its attempts towards restoration of its rights and reaching the peak of success in the nuclear field.

The chief executive made the remark at a public gathering in the provincial city of Paveh, while addressing the countries which have called for suspension of Iran's nuclear activities for peaceful purposes.

Ahmadinejad noted that the call for nuclear right is not limited to certain groups or individuals, adding that the enemies should be aware that the whole nation calls for such a right and that Iranians consider access to nuclear energy as their inalienable right.

Turning to the adversaries threats, he noted, "The enemies' current opposition to Iran's nuclear progress is not due to their panic of atomic bomb, rather they intend to stop the scientific advancement of Iranian youth.

"Unfortunately, world bullying powers are against the dignity of other nations and prefer to keep them dependent on themselves, witness their poverty and misery and access all available assets." Criticizing the US and Europe's hostile stance, he said that they shamelessly keep silent in the face of the Zionist regime's official and open declaration on possession of atomic bomb, while they are standing up to the Iranians who are willing to access nuclear technology for the sake of human peace and progress.

"The enemies threat to impose sanctions against our nation for not giving up its nuclear right. However, they should know that we are not afraid of their sanctions and that Iranian youth will build up the country.

"Thanks God with the cooperation of people great achievements have been made in the field of nuclear technology and the last measure will soon be taken with honor. The country's new progress in this regard will be declared during the upcoming 10-Day Dawn festival," added the president.

President Ahmadinejad, accompanied by members of his cabinet, arrived here this morning for a three-day visit.
