Iran-Hosseini-Nuclear
Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini assessed as "illogical" measures adopted by Western states on Iran's nuclear case.
Hosseini made the remark while speaking to domestic and foreign reporters at his weekly press briefing.
"Iran has repeatedly stressed that negotiations are the best solution to remove ambiguities.
"Iran's peaceful nuclear activities have logical, human and legal basis and are based on international regulations but the West adopted an irrational stance on Iran's peaceful nuclear program," he said.
Asked about possibility of a draft resolution against Iran and banning travel of certain Iranian experts, he added, "The US and certain European states intend to include the issue of ban on travel of certain Iranian experts in the resolution but Russia and China are against it."
In response to a question on Iran's readiness to help Persian Gulf Cooperation Council member states gain access to peaceful nuclear technology, Hosseini said, "The PGCC states and its secretary-general have repeatedly stressed that all signatories to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) have the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
"They have voiced their support for Iran's nuclear right. Iran, on its part, said it can provide help to countries determined to use peaceful nuclear energy."
