Government spokesman Gholam-Hossein Elham on Monday hoped that the United States would make a revision of its anti-Iran attitude.

Elham made the remark at his weekly press conference in response to a question on a possible negotiations between Iran and the US on Iraq.

"We hope the US will withdraw from the region, abandon its hegemonic policies, end its support for terrorist groups and Israeli state terrorism and give a positive response to the demand of regional nations calling for peace and justice in international community," he said.

He added that if the US officials decided on a policy shift, all problems would be settled.

Asked about the government's executive strategy to confront possible sanctions, the spokesman stressed, "The Islamic Republic of Iran will sustain no damage from sanctions. Our nation have enough experience on how to thwart backlash of US sanctions."

"The government has plans for every condition. It has drawn up specific plans to confront any restrictions."

Elham said, "We are well prepared to deal with sanctions while we do not predict hard conditions."

He added that a delay in trend of decision-making by Group 5+1 (the five permanent member of the UN Security Council -- Russia, China, Britain, France and the United States plus Germany) -- on adoption of an anti-Iranian resolution showed problems among member states of the group.

"A decision on imposing sanctions against Iran will also threaten the Group 5+1."
Elham hoped the group would make an appropriate decision and continue negotiations with Iran.

"Iran seeks all-out ties with all countries in the world," he further added.
