Iran's military capabilities underlined

Top Iranian army commander, Brigadier General Ayatollah Salehi, stressed on Friday that Iran's Armed Forces are capable of defeating enemies.
Delivering his pre-sermon address to Tehran's Friday prayers congregation this week, Chief Commander of Iran's Armed Forces Salehi added that Iran has not pinned the least hope on non-conventional nuclear and chemical weapons.
"I have no doubt that we will defeat the enemy in all areas by relying on our defensive capabilities in marine, ground and air sections of the army," he said.
Referring to the capabilities of the Armed Forces, Salehi hailed military breakthroughs of the country in recent years and said "the morale of the Armed Forces is much stronger than their equipment." "Our enemy has resorted to eavesdropping to get informed of our military equipment," he said.
Salehi further pointed to defensive achievements during the Sacred Defense period (1980-88) and said it made the Iranian nation prepared for development and growth.
