Asefi lambasts US decision to halt banking deals of Iranian bank with American financial system

US move to halt banking deals of Bank Saderat of Iran with American financial system is a mistake, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi on Sunday.
He was commenting on a recent report by some media that Washington has stopped all banking deals of Iran's Bank Saderat in the US.
Addressing the domestic and foreign reporters at his weekly press briefing, Asefi said that Washington has proved that is would use all means to advance its wrong policies.
As for the armed attack against Iran's embassy in the South African capital of Pretoria on Friday, Asefi said Tehran has asked South African authorities to follow up the case.
A group of 8 armed men robbed Iran's embassy building in Pretoria, Friday evening.
The armed robbers kept the only diplomat present in the building for 90 minutes.
The gunmen took all the money in the embassy's safe and left the diplomat with tied hands and feet.
The Iranian diplomat was later found.
Iran's ambassador to South Africa Mohammad-Ali Qanezadeh said on Saturday that the embassy submitted an official letter of protest to the South African Foreign Ministry and has requested for an investigation so that the perpetrators of the crime could be detected and brought to justice.
