Mottaki: Date for responding to EU proposal unchangable

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here Tuesday that the date for a reply to the EU incentive package can't be changed.
"August as a date set by Iran was determined as a result of all-out and careful study of the EU package and is unchangable," said Mottaki in a meeting with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim al-Thani on Tuesday.
Mottaki said that until that date, Iran, the EU and other countries, involved in offering the incentives package, can hold talks and consult on the nuclear issue.
The Qatari minister, whose country is one of the non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, said a one month delay by Iran for giving its reply to the proposals is not the problem, rather, efforts should be made to find a solution acceptable by all.
