Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Sunday the P5+1 package of incentives is a 'step forward' but has some ambiguities.
"Iran has set up special working committees to look into the P5+1 package seriously and carefully," Mottaki told his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul, who is on a visit to Iran since Saturday to submit Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's written message to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Mottaki also thanked Ankara for its support for a negotiated diplomatic solution to Iran's peaceful nuclear program.
He recalled 'positive and constructive' talks between Iranian and Turkish presidents in Azerbaijan and Indonesia, saying both sides should strive for implementation of the agreements.
He also called for further promoting Tehran-Ankara cooperation in the fields of commerce and investment.
He said Tehran and Ankara should diversify their economic cooperation and raise their trade volume well beyond dlrs 4.5 billion.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Mottaki welcomed Turkey's interest in attending the foreign ministerial meeting of Iran neighbors, saying the move can help boost Iraq's stability, security and reconstruction.
He said Zionists' constant inhumane actions and aggravation of conditions in the Palestinian occupied lands stem from Israeli regime's military approaches, making Muslim states increasingly concerned.
Gul said for his part that Ankara favors diplomatic settlement of Iran's nuclear problem.
"We believe both sides should reach mutual understanding and the fulfillment of commitments by the two sides should be taken into consideration," he added.
The minister also called for Tehran-Ankara cooperation in the economic, commercial, and security spheres as well as in the campaign against narcotics and terrorism.
