Iran's ambassador and envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Ali-Asghar Soltanieh said here Thursday that the general atmosphere dominating the IAEA Board of Governors current meeting on Iran's nuclear issue is much more calm.

At the end of this morning's Board of Governor's session, he told IRNA that recent developments on the issue have been welcomed by various countries, in particular the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member states which have encouraged the parties involved in the case to hold talks.

"A major change at the session was that NAM statement was fully read out by Malaysian envoy and it will be recorded in the agency as a historical document," he added.

In response to the question whether such a calm atmosphere is in favor of Iran's decision to come up with a response to Europe's proposal, he said that many diplomats believe that this calm atmosphere makes the involved parties to seek a proper diplomatic means to solve the issue without any tension.

"Iran has repeatedly stressed that it will not spare any effort to clarify ambiguities," concluded Soltanieh.
