Tehran, June 11, IRNA
Iran-EU-Proposal
Rapporteur of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Kazem Jalali said here on Sunday that the EU's proposal should be examined with care by seizing the existing opportunity in order to adopt a unique stand.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of Sunday's Majlis open session, he said Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has not studied the EU's proposals yet.

Members of Iran's National Security Council and Foreign Ministry officials are to review latest developments in Iran's peaceful nuclear activities in the near future, he said
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki was also present in today's Majlis session.

To a question on Iran's reply to Europe, he said "the issue is on our agenda."
Asked why the EU's proposal package has been kept confidential, he said "It is positive to conduct such professional task within limited time and away from any hue and cry," he said.

The US seeks to force Iran to take a hasty decision, he underlined.

The Americans through their influence on media try to make an international coalition against Iran and arouse the country's sensitivity towards its red lines in order to depict an unreal image of Iran, he said.

To a question that the Western media have published some of European proposals which have not been reflected in Iran, Jalali said the Europeans have not officially announced any new proposals and it is not clear to what extend the issues raised by the Western media are correct.
