Mottaki: Tehran to study Europe's incentive package

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, talking to reporters here Tuesday, said Tehran "will study Europe's incentive package."
Mottaki spoke to reporters after he met his visiting counterpart from Kazakhstan, Kassymzhomart Tokaev.
Tokaev arrived here Tuesday morning on a two-day official visit heading a political delegation.
He is expected to hold separate meetings with senior Iranian officials including President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani.
Tokaev and Mottaki, in their meeting, discussed major bilateral, regional and international topics, including the Tehran-Astana wide-ranging cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture and transportation.
According to reports, Tehran-Astana trade turnover has been rising in recent years with economic indicators favoring this trend.
Bilateral trade turnover figures went beyond USD 900 million in 2005.
The Kazakh minister, in his meetings with Iranian officials, indicated that his government would consider an increase in Kazakhstan's petroleum supply to Neka, the Iranian seaport in the Caspian Sea, in accordance with a deal to swap crude supplies from the south of Iran.
An increase of Kazakh grain supplies to Iran and possible use ECO's transit transport potential in the region will also be on his agenda.
Regional security, establishment of a legal regime to govern the Caspian Sea's resources, strengthening of regional cooperation within the framework of regional organizations and the activities of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions are among the main topics discussed in Tokaev's meetings with Iranian officials.
