President: Nuclear technology to protect national interests

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Thursday that today Iran has access to nuclear technology, is known as a powerful world country and capable of protecting its national interests.
Speaking at a gathering of people in the provincial city of Kashmar, he added that the enemies are unaware that political pressures, sanctions, psychological war and propaganda campaign would not bend the Iranian nation.
"The Iranians will pursue their efforts to make full use of all nuclear capabilities for peaceful purposes.
"Today, Iran has been converted into a forerunner of unity and justice in the world scene. Meanwhile, we aim to develop an Islamic, advanced, powerful and well-off community," added the president.
The chief executive said that the nation has resisted all dilemmas and sanctions it has faced over the past 27 years and has overcome all the obstacles.
Ahmadinejad urged the Iranians to do their best to be effective in various scientific, cultural, economic and agricultural fields as well as urban development, housing and architecture.
The president promised the residents of Kashmar that during the cabinet meeting on Thursday night several development projects would be discussed and the budget required for their implementation would be approved.
Ahmadinejad along with members of his cabinet arrived in the city of Kashmar on Thursday, the fourth day of his tour to this northeastern province.
