Iran-Rafsanjani-Nuclear
Expediency Council chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on Thursday said that Iran is facing a `new situation' as a consequence of its nuclear dossier being reported to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and stressed "our nation cannot be frightened by threats and intimidations."
Speaking at the ceremony marking the 11th death anniversary of the late Imam Khomeini's son, Seyed Ahmad Khomeini, he added that the Iranians are now encountering a new situation, which is created by the US and its allies under the pretext of the country's nuclear program.
"Though the US psychological war against Iran and the Islamic Revolution has always been underway, we have witnessed its threats against Iran day by day. But this time, the situation is quite different, given it is based upon a false claim," he added.
