A Russian diplomat, speaking to Russia's Itar-Tass News Agency prior to the IAEA Board of Governors meeting on Monday, said that a proposal should be submitted to Iran on providing it with nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
He added that the the stance of Iran in talks about regional conflicts should also be included in the proposal.
The diplomat noted that the US attempts to settle the nuclear problem in its own interest.
"The relevant parameters, which ended up collapsing, were indicated without our participation. Now that we have been invited to play a role in it, we recommend presenting the promising prospect of providing Iran with industrial nuclear technology in return for its suspension of enrichment.
"Besides, it is important to propose Iran to get involved in talks about regional conflicts both in Iraq or that between Israel and Palestinians. Such a measure will pave the way for Iran to take a more effective approach to resolve the problems facing it.
Turning to the repeated exchange of visits between the officials of the two countries in Tehran, Moscow and Vienna, he said that his country should do its best to settle the issue.
