The international system will face key problems if Iran's nuclear program (is) reported to the UN Security Council, Government spokesman Gholam-Hossein Elham said Monday.

Talking to domestic and foreign reporters at his weekly press conference, Elham added that international organizations and institutions should attract confidence of their member states.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran does not close the doors of reviewing its policies in light of national interests.

"Iran cooperates with the international community to help establish peace, respectful ties and a just and lawful ground in the world," he said.

Elham added, "Iran has used any opportunity to build an international interaction and transparency in its nuclear
performance."
He said talks on Russia's nuclear proposal for Iran on uranium enrichment inside Moscow was also an opportunity along with other chances.

"Iran has no problem and is ready to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency in a quite legal atmosphere and within frameworks of international regulations.

"We have had activities based on international regulations and treaties and the report by the IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei shows no diversion in Iran's nuclear program."
Elham stressed, "Performance of a country which acts transparently and based on international regulations cause no concerns.

"The international treaties and organizations will face problems if pressure (is) imposed on a country."
The spokesman said involvement of the Security Council in Iran's nuclear case would be a mistake and hoped the "Board of Governors will not commit such a mistake."
He added Iran's Constitution prohibits any yield to bullying of foreign powers and, "The government is obliged to act based on the Constitution."
