Speaker: Iran to proceed with talks, not to give in to injustice

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, March 4, IRNA
Iran-speaker-Remarks
Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad Adel said here Saturday that Islamic Republic of Iran will proceed with nuclear talks but it will never give in to injustice.

"We insist on our legal stances and will make every effort to achieve our right," he reiterated on the sidelines of the second regional session of religious leaders titled 'Respecting the Sanctities of Religions and Divine Prophets."
The parties (involved in the nuclear talks) will not insist on their stance forever, he noted in a clear reference to Russia and Europe which have urged Iran to suspend uranium enrichment.

A definite anticipation about the nuclear case is impossible. All are responsible for confidence-building, he said in response to a question on upcoming events in Iran's nuclear case.

The officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran take every measure to show Iran's goodwill and announce that Iran is ready to welcome partnership of other countries in the enrichment plan as
proposed by the president.

The visit of secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani to Moscow and his talks there indicate that Iran is strongly determined to reach a result, the speaker stressed.

He maintained that it is a sheer injustice to refer Iran's case to the UN Security Council for its nuclear research while those countries which possess atomic bombs make use of nuclear potential freely.

It is Iran's undeniable right to conduct laboratory-scale nuclear research, he concluded.
