IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Vienna, March 3, IRNA
Iran-EU-Nuclear
International Affairs Deputy of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Javad Vaeidi said here Friday that outcome of Iran's talks with EU3 was clarification of the two sides' viewpoints for one another.

Speaking to the Iranian press reporters after the 90th minute talks with the EU, Vaeidi added, "A constructive atmosphere reigned over Friday talks with the EU3 that were held based on an initiative by the Iranian side, in which Iran and Europe agreed on some points, although there were disagreements, as well."
The negotiating parts at Friday talks between Iran and EU included the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani, German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Stein Miller, French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste Blazy, European Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana and a representative of the British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw.

Vaeidi added in his interview with Iranian media reporters that the latest status of Iran-Russia talks on Russian proposal for uranium enrichment for Iran at Russian soil, too, was surveyed during talks with the Europeans.

He said that the Friday negotiation with EU was held at a high political level and relying on both sides' political will to reach a shared agreement.

The SNSC official added, "During this round of talks the two sides reached the required agreements on the need for solving Iran's nuclear case at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)."
