Iran, Russia start negotiations on joint nuclear program

Deputy Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Hosseini-Tash on Tuesday held talks with his Russian counterpart Valentin Sobolev and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Kislyac on the Russian offer to set up joint fuel cycle plant.
They started negotiations in Kremlin behind closed doors which is still underway in absence of reporters.
Representatives from Iranian Foreign Ministry and Iran Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) are accompanying Hosseini-Tash.
Kislyac said that the negotiations aim to find a way out of the current deadlock on Iranian nuclear program.
Meanwhile, President Vladimir Putin who had attended Russian cabinet meeting today called on Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to report to him about progress of the current Iran-Russia negotiations in Moscow.
Lavrov said that Russia insists on setting up joint fuel cycle plant in Russian territory with Iran and respect Iranian right to have access to nuclear energy.
