Iran-Russia-Nuclear
Iran's nuclear negotiating team will leave for Moscow tonight to hold talks with Russian officials on Tehran's case, a senior official said here Sunday.
Deputy Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Seyed Ali Hosseini-Tash, who made the remark in his talks with reporters, added, "Talks with Russia will not be conditional. Our officials including Foreign Minister (Manouchehr Mottaki) have reiterated we will not renounce our rights."
He said, "There is no link between suspension of enrichment and the Russian (nuclear) proposal."
Asked why Iran keeps on negotiating with Russia after Moscow agreed at London session and the recent emergency session of the IAEA's Board of Governors to report Tehran to the the UN Security Council, Hosseini-Tash responded, "Russia's stance contradicted our expectation. We explicitly talked to Russian officials in this regard and they presented their explanations. Russia has announced its principled stance on settling Iran's case at the International Atomic Emergency Agency has not changed."
The official stressed Iran is after settling the case through fair negotiations at a pressure-free atmosphere.
