Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi said here Sunday that Iran sees no dead end in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
"Situation has become more difficult but we will cooperate with the the IAEA within the frameworks of the Safeguards Agreement and the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)," Asefi said in his weekly press conference.
"No other member state of the agency has had such a cooperation with this international body like Iran during the past two years," he added.
He stressed the importance of conducting a professional and technical work by the IAEA and said Iran had cooperated with the IAEA deputy chief in Tehran (on Safeguards Agreement).
"Unfortunately, the political atmosphere did not let the IAEA Governing Board to focus on technical and expert work.
"The negotiation path is still open to different countries. Iran is ready to hold talks and use all potentials to ease tension," Asefi stated.
