Iran-Nuclear-Prayers
Tehran's Interim Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani on Friday said that access to peaceful nuclear technology is the will of every individual Iranian.

Addressing the congregation at this week's Friday prayers at Tehran University campus, he added that today, the Iranians' science and knowledge is the secret to the national power and dignity.

He underlined that Iran will not compromise access to nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

He referred to the emphasis of the Western media that Iran is determined to access nuclear weapons as their hypocrisy and said, "The world is aware of their lies and they merely intend to put an end to Iran's nuclear activities."
Stressing that Iranians have made scientific achievements in the present age, Kashani said that today the grounds are prepared for scientific advancement and that the way for such progress had been paved by the Leader of Islamic Revolution the late Imam Khomeini and the martyrs, who neutralized the plots of Western arrogance, US, Britain and the Zionists.

"Today should be called as a day of scientific progress movement, given that the enemy has planned to prevent our access to updated knowledge.

"Use of nuclear weapons is banned by the principles of Islam and Iran from rational and ethic points of view, on which there is a general accord among the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, government, Majlis, Judiciary, Expediency Council, state officials and the Iranian nation," he added.

Turning to the recent threats of the French President Jacques Chirac on use of nuclear bombs, he said that this proves that they are irrational.

Meanwhile, he appreciated the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani and Iran's Foreign Ministry who have managed to handle the nuclear issue with prudence.

Concerning the recent blasts in southern city of Ahvaz, he said that the antagonists have had a hand in the recent crimes and that they are satisfied with such terrorist acts.

Ayatollah Kashani condemned the approach of the West following the victory of Hamas in Palestine's parliamentary elections, adding that the move was in the interest of Zionists and calling for unification of Palestinian groups.

"The secret of the Islamic Republic of Iran lies in access to nuclear technology and we will not stop our nuclear research for access to nuclear energy.

"There is a common scenario behind the curtain for Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran's nuclear program and the main issue is that they are opposed to any progress by Iran's ruling system, he added.
