Iran-Nuclear-North Korea
North Korea Tuesday defended Iran's right to use nuclear energy peacefully.
The daily of the Korean Workers' Party, Rodong Sinmun, maintaining the government's stance placed its emphasis in its Tuesday's edition on Iran's right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
"North Korea backs Iran's right and Tehran must have that right," wrote the daily.
Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) has also underlined that Iran reserves the right to use nuclear technology peacefully.
Kuala Lumpur also came to defense of Tehran's inalienable right as Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs Syed Hamid Albar in his telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said his country respected the right of all countries to use nuclear technology for non-military purposes.
WEST IS TO BLAME
Saudi Arabia has said the West is to blame for the current nuclear standoff with Iran because it allowed Israel to develop nuclear weapons.
The Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal made the statement as he was giving a rare interview with BBC while in London for a two-day anti-terrorism conference.
He has chosen this visit to call for a nuclear-free zone in the Persian Gulf.
Al-Faisal said nuclear weapons benefit no one.
