Iran-Rowhani-Nuclear
The Supreme Leader's representative to the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Hassan Rowhani, here Saturday urged Europe's negotiators to take advantage of the opportunity open for nuclear negotiations and not be influenced by the hue and cry of international Zionism or Washington.
"The Islamic Republic does not seek adventure and conflict but seeks only recognition of its inalienable right in these talks," he told IRNA.
"Iran presses for its absolute right based on international laws and regulations and hopes the Europeans will hold talks with Iranian representatives with respect for these laws and regulations as the background."
Reiterating Iran's position that it would in no way surrender its undeniable right to nuclear energy, he said "Iran does not wish to create tensions in the international scene."
"With regard to Israel, we share the idea of the Supreme Leader: there is just one solution to the Palestinian issue and that is the holding of a general referendum," he said.
"All Palestinians, Jews and Christians who have been living in these territories should take part in this referendum. We will accept any system established through this referendum," he added.
Turning to the upcoming Assembly of Experts election, Rowhani pointed out that the assembly is the sovereign base of the system, and invited all parties, factions, ulema and individuals to actively take part in the elections scheduled for next year.
