Iran, Russia determined to complete Bushehr power plant sans delay

Iran and Russia are seriously determined to complete and inaugurate the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in southern Iran without further delays.
Visiting Iranian Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel made the remark while talking to reporters after a meeting with Russian Federation Council Chairman Sergei Mironov here Tuesday.
"During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral nuclear cooperation," he said.
He assessed as "important" his talks with Mironov on bilateral issues, and added that "mutual relations, technical cooperation and regional and international issues were the other topics raised at the meeting."
The two sides also exchanged views on Russia's ties with Muslims inside and outside the country, he said, adding that Iran will be glad to cooperate with Russia because of its ties with Islamic states.
The Russian Federation Council chairman, for his part, assessed the outcomes of his talks with the Iranian Majlis speaker as "excellent and constructive."
Mironov said the discussions were transparent and conducted in a friendly atmosphere.
He added that the two sides also discussed avenues for further consolidating ties between the Iranian and Russian governments and parliaments as well as a number of economic, technical and newly proposed projects for implementation in the near future.
